Tommy Huggins

Thomas ‘Tommy’ Vernon Huggins, 72, of Norwood, passed away Thursday May 31, 2018 at Stanly Manor.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 2, 2018 at 11:00AM at Community Full Gospel Church in Norwood. Rev. Mike Lisk will officiate and burial will follow at Norwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.

Mr. Huggins was born on May 11, 1946 in Stanly County to the late Thomas Vernon Sr. and Ruby Francis Barbee Huggins. He worked as an HVAC installer and was a member of Community Full Gospel Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Lee Huggins; twin brother, Johnny Huggins; and his sister Kay Troutman.

He is survived by his sons, Hugh Thomas Huggins (Shonda) of New London and Keith Morgan (Donna) of Norwood; two sisters: Verona Hearne of Matthews and Connie Gathings of Rock Hill; one brother: Terry Barbee of Mt. Pleasant; Five grandchildren: Jessica Morgan, Hannah Morgan, Savannah Higgins, Brooklyn Huggins, and Lydia Huggins; and one great-grandchild, Aavrey Allen.
