Ted Boysworth

Theodore (Ted) Alonzo Boysworth, 67, died Sunday, May 28th at his home in Conyers, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, June 11, 2017 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 120 College Street, Norwood, NC 28128. Rev. Nathan W. Fox will officiate.

Ted was born January 10, 1950 in Wadesboro, NC to Theodore and Lois Boysworth of Norwood, NC.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Boysworth of Conyers, Georgia, a sister Trudy Nance and husband Richard Nance of Lexington, a son T.A. Boysworth of Marion, two nieces, Layla Redding of Winston Salem and Robyn Taylor of Lexington along with great-niece Morgan Dial of Winston Salem. He was preceded in death by his father Theodore Boysworth, mother Lois Boysworth and brother Darryl Boysworth.

Originally from North Carolina, Ted and his wife of 37 years, Mary, moved to their current home in Conyers, Georgia in July of 1994 where he later became Security Chair on Lake Capri's HOA Board of Directors. Ted did a wonderful job of helping keep Lake Capri safe even though some say he was quite Barney Fife(ish) in his role which makes perfect sense to those who knew him.

Ted loved animals, especially cats. He and Mary always welcomed stray cats into their lives. They donated to and volunteered for Paws Atlanta where animals are cared for until adopted.
