Shirley Jean Kluttz Williamson, 82, of Mount Gilead, surrounded by her loving family, passed away Sunday morning, August 11, 2019 at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM, at Hamer Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Alex Willoughby officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday August 13, 2019 at Edwards Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Williamson was born in Rowan County to the late Alfred Lee and Callie Mavis Artz Kluttz. She worked in retail for 35 years to include: owning a service station and tire service center, working at Gilead Manufacturing, Pope’s, Super 10, and the Thrift Store in Mt. Gilead. She loved people and loved her family. She will be remembered as a hard working woman. She was a member at Hamer Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Bart Shaw Williamson (Dinky), great-great granddaughter, Sunny Grace; brothers: Harry Lee Kluttz, Wade William Kluttz, and Sidney Cecil Kluttz; sisters: Willie Mae Monroe and Sadie Burnice Kluttz.
She is survived by her children, Glenn Bart Williamson, Kenneth Lee Williamson, and Wanda Jean Williams and husband Barry, all of Mt. Gilead; grandchildren: Sandy Jo Williamson, Monica Jean Moore (Ricky), Sara Nicole Saunders (Jamie), Teresa MacFayden (Scott), Lee Williamson (Melissa), Eric Williamson (Susan), Jennifer Lynn Webb (Daniel); great grandchildren: Tera, Ashly, Alexis, Mindy, Emily, Ryker, Seth, Adam, Kenzie, Dylan, Samantha, EricJr., Carley, Lilyann, Jordan, and Emalee; great-great-grandchildren, Austin, Colton, and Greylan.
