Ruth Dennison

Ruth Ann Butcher Dennison 87 of Norwood died Sunday Morning, June 16, 2019 at Spring Arbor.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Randall United Methodist Church. Rev. Caitlin McAlhany will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Dennison was born December 23, 1931 in Weston, West Virginia to the late William Scott Butcher and Minnie Edna Shifflett Butcher. She was a homemaker and attended Randall United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arphard Lawrence Dennison, a son Larry Dennison, a son-in-law, Darrell Dean, two brothers William Butcher and Edward Butcher, two sisters, Carolyn Sue Robinson and infant Margaret Butcher.

Mrs. Dennison is survived by two daughters, Diana Dean of Indian Trail and Karen Cox and husband David of Norwood. Two brothers, Charlie Butcher of Roanoke, WV and Gerald Butcher of Bunker Hill, WV. One sister, Madeline Heater of Buckhannon, WV. Four Grandchildren, Brett Cox, Robert Dean, Ronald Dean and Lori Hites. Eight Great-Grandchildren and Eight Great-Great Grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
