Condolence: Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. This is one of the most difficult things we must face in this life. May it comfort you to know that others are deeply touched by your loss. But the bible assures us at Psalms 34:18 that God is near to those broken in heart and those crushed in spirit he saves. He also promises that we will be able to see our loved ones again. Jesus own words found at John 5:28,29 tells us there will be a resurrection. What a wonderful hope! He also promises that soon on the earth there will be no more pain, suffering and especially death. Revelation 21:3-5 We anxiously await the day when we will no longer lose those we love. May these bible thoughts bring you comfort at this most difficult time

Just heard about Mr. Duke's passing. He was a good man. One of my favorite teachers from way back when. I will never forget sitting in his Social Studies class and being eager to learn more. He made class fun and interesting. My prayers are with the family, close friends and students. May God be with you all during this hard time.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. ( Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to Jeanette and the family. . I remember us kids playing ball together at Grandma's on Sunday afternoons. Even way back then it was apparent Perry was a solid Christian. Even though we didn't keep up with one another in later life, I know his faith never left him.

I was going to light a candle for you my dear Mill Hill Friend, but the life you lived shone brighter than any candle could! I will miss you but I know that God has special plans for you. Ms. Jeanette, I am so very sorry for you loss but you can be proud of the fact that you had a good, christian son in Perry. He touched many lives and planted many seeds as he went. I love you and will keep you and Perry's family in my prayers.

A special childhood friend from the mill hill of Norwood. We played together and prayed together at The
Nazerene Church. We played ball together and traveled to the games in
the old 1963 Chevy wagon. We still stayed in touch as adults and were always Brothers in Christ. He will always be remembered as a true friend by my family and me. Rest in peace my friend until that great day when we will all be reunited in Heaven.

During my primary and secondary education at Norwood Elementary and South Stanly Jr. and Sr. high no one individual made more of a impact on my life than Perry Duke. As a teacher in the 7th grade or as a coach in football he taught me how to be a TOTAL person.... effort, perseverance, encouragement, selflessness, FAITH..... While I never saw Mr. Duke more than a dozen times since my Graduation from South in 1983 he was always the same. I just want the family to know that other than my parents and siblings that no other person has had more of a impact on how to behave as a Southern Gentleman than Perry Duke. He now knows what a impact he had on so many others! Well Done Mr. Duke!

Please find comfort in the knowledge that Perry is at Home with the Father now. I know that he was a strong Christian who trusted in the Lord. I could tell that when I was a student a SSHS and he was a teacher and coach. I could also see it in his two sons Jacob and Jesse. I will be praying for each of you.
