Oscar Blalock Obituary

Oscar William Blalock Sr. 82 of Norwood died Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare in Albemarle.

Family Services will be held at a later date.

Oscar was born March 1, 1937 in Stanly County to the late Ed and Sadie Throneburg Blalock. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Norwood First Baptist Church. He was a retiree of Arrowood.

He was preceded in death by his wife Saundra Hutchinson Blalock and a granddaughter Courtney Blalock.

He is survived by his sons, Bill Blalock of Charlotte and Jack Blalock of Seattle, WA. His daughter, Tara Blalock Mauldin of Matthews. Four grandchildren, Tate, Mia, Tim and Mason.
