Mary Rose (Curlee) Sullivan

Mary Rose Curlee Sullivan, 93, formerly of Norwood, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday afternoon, October 28, 2017 at Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center in Black Mountain, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Friday November 3, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home. Rev. Nathan Fox will officiate and interment will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle, NC.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sullivan was born on May 20, 1924, to the late Charlie Cecil Curlee and Lillie Mae Turner Curlee.  She was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church. She was a self employed beautician for many years in Norwood.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Delma Thomas Sullivan, her son, Rodney Sullivan, brother, Kent Curlee, and sister, Alma Jewel Hudson.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Sullivan Cooper and husband Handy of Charlotte; daughter-in-law, Nancy Sullivan of Badin; grandchildren, Chad Sullivan of Fayetteville, NC  and Kelly Sullivan of Greenville, SC.  In addition, she is survived by brothers: Tecil Curlee of Charlotte, Donald and Kibbie Curlee, both of Albemarle, and many nieces and nephews.
