Margaret Kurz

Margaret Lommaert Kurz, 91, of Oakboro, surrounded by her loving family, passed away Sunday morning, November 4, 2018, at The Tucker House in Kannapolis, NC

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Saturday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Mike Rinehardt will officiate and interment will follow at 10:00AM Monday at the National Cemetery in Salisbury.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.

Mrs. Kurz was born April 3, 1927, to the late Gustave Lommaert and Joanna  Goris  Lommaert.  She was of the Catholic faith.  Besides being the Matriarch of the family, she was a homemaker and loved to cook and sew.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Philip Herbert Kurz, Jr. and son, Philip III.

She is survived by her daughter Joanna G. Puglsey of Oakboro, NC, and son, Gustave L. Kurz (Phyllis) of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Lance T. Pugsley, Justin R. Pugsley (Sarah),  Philip H. Kurz, IV, Angela L. Ghataora (Hardeep),Gustave L. Kurz, Jr., and Sean M. Kurz, Sr.  In addition, she is survived by eleven great- grandchildren.
