Larry Jan Mauldin

Larry Jan Mauldin,75, of Norwood, passed away Monday May 27, 2019 at CMC Mercy in Charlotte, NC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 1:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home, Rev. Nathan Fox will officiate and interment will follow in Norwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Mauldin was born February 10, 1944 in Rowan County and raised by Noah and Mary Lee Mauldin. He was a truck driver.  He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He loved working in the yard and mowing grass.  He loved working on model cars and bird houses. He was an avid reader and a big Tar Heel fan.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Thompson Mauldin of the home; son, Timothy Jan Mauldin and wife, Emily of Norwood: and daughter, Susan Mauldin Cole of Aquadale. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Alexus Jan, Dorian Leigh, Tobias Connor, Claire Crystal, and Natalie Grace Mauldin; brother, Gary Leon Freeman of Mt. Gilead; and sister, Melva Mauldin Russell of Utah.
