Karen Lomax

Karen Yarbrough Lomax, 65, of Mt. Gilead, passed away Wednesday October 9, 2019 at Atrium Healthcare Stanly.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Rex Burleson will officiate and burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery in Mt. Gilead. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lomax was born on May 11, 1954 in Stanly County to the late Flawzell Brittian Yarbrough and Camilla Goodwin Yarbrough, who survives of Candor. She was a member at Rocky River Baptist Church in Polkton.

In addition to her mother, Karen is survived by her husband, Robbie Lee Lomax of the home; Three sons: Lee Lomax and wife Lori of Ansonville, Michael Lomax of Mt. Gilead, and Richard Lomax and wife Andrea of Norwood; Five sisters: Joyce Perry of Norwood, Ann Cagle of Ansonville, Mary McKee of Candor, Sandy Dennis of Kansas, and Amy Lynn Yarborough of Candor; Ten grandchildren: Kaylee, Jacob, Joshua, Emily, Lauren, Madison, Richard Jr., Gavin, Garrett, and Francheska.
