Junior Surratt

Clyde Melvin Surratt, Jr., 62, of Albemarle passed away Monday evening, August 21, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Interment will follow in The National Cemetery in Salisbury at 2:00PM.    The family will receive friends from 9:00AM until 10:00AM, prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Mr. Surratt was born February 24, 1955 in Stanly County to the late Clyde Melvin Surratt, Sr. and Lois Honeycutt Surratt. He served his country in the U S Army.  He attended Shepherds’ Chapel.

Junior loved the outdoors. He loved to go fishing and spending time with his dogs, Scruffy and Bear.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Linda Faye Surratt and Mary Morris.

He is survived by his wife, Denise MacLean Surratt of the home; brothers, Rodney Surratt of New London, John Surratt, Sr. of Charleston, SC and sister, Libby Parnell of Albemarle; his fur babies, Scruffy and Bear.
