Judy Diane (Blalock) Martin

Judy Diane Blalock Martin, 72, of Norwood, surrounded by her family, passed away Tuesday Morning, December 26, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 29, 2017, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.  Dr. Kinny Wallace will officiate and interment will follow in Porter Community Cemetery.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.

Mrs. Martin was born June 17, 1945, to the late Ray Ulysses Sasser and Rosa Lee Capel Sasser.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She was a retired knitter in the textile industry, last working at Supreme Knit.  Mrs. Martin will be remembered for her love of family and her spunkiness.  She will be missed by her constant companion, Sissy Lee.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by three sons: Jimmy Aldridge, Todd Aldridge, and Woody Aldridge.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Edward Martin.  She is also survived by her children: Tammy Aldridge Fraley of Norwood and Eddie Martin (Renee) of Norwood; three grandchildren: Carrie Arndt(Mark), Rodney Fraley, Jr.(Miranda), Dakota Martin (Corrie); twelve great-grandchildren: Madison, McKenzie, and Kevin Hatley, Blake, Spencer, Garrison, and Chole Fraley, Rylan, Lawson, Emily, Aubrey, and Macie Martin.
