Joe Blake Obituary

Joseph Daniel Blake Sr. 79 of Hamlet died Tuesday Afternoon, December 31, 2019 at John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville.

A private burial will be at Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Joe was born May 19, 1940 in Montgomery County to the late Sanky and Della Farabee Blake. He was a 1958 graduate of Mt. Gilead High School and a retired Maintenance Supervisor for the Town of Mt. Gilead Housing Authority.

He is survived by his children, Joseph Blake Jr. of Hamlet and Marty B. Sacchi of Canton. Brothers, Don Blake of Mt. Gilead, Moses Blake of Osborne and Curtis Blake of Norwood. Sister, Miriam B. Phillips of Morehead City.
