Jeffery Eugene Newton Sr.

Jeffery ‘Jeff’ Newton, 52, of Mt. Gilead, passed away on Tuesday October 17, 2017.

The family will receive friends on Saturday October 28, 2017 from 4:00PM to 5:30PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead.

Mr. Newton was born on November 3, 1964 in Stanly County to Carol Almond McDonald and the late Clifford Newton Sr. He worked for McRae Industries in Mt. Gilead and was a member at Mission of Hope Church in Kannapolis.

In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Newton and nephew Brandon Newton.

Along with his mother, he is survived by his children: Jeffery Newton Jr. of Mt. Gilead, Jeremy Newton of Alabama, Tiffany Newton of Denton, and Dorcus Newton of Denton. Two brothers: Clifford ‘Butch’ Newton Jr. and Tim Newton, both of Mt. Gilead; and one sister, Stephanie Conrad of Denton.  Eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
