Henry Burke “H. B.” Morrison, Jr., 90, of Albemarle passed away early Tuesday morning, September 19, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00PM, Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood.  Rev. Todd McSwain will officiate and interment will follow in Norwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.

Mr. Morrison was born October 2, 1926 in Anson County to the late Henry Burke Morrison, Sr. and Mary Diggs Morrison.  He served his country as a member of the Merchant Marines.  He was a member of Norwood First Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school.  

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Page Morrison.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Shore Roberts Morrison of the home; son, Stephen Morrison and wife, Feliza of Albemarle; daughter, Cathy Morrison Ratley and husband, Michael of Cheraw; sisters, Maude Deaton on Mount Gilead and Melba Purvis of Thomasville; step-sons, Milton Roberts and wife, Nancy of Chapel Hill and Mitchell Roberts of Mount Gilead; step-daughters, Gail Robinson and husband, Jimmie of Mount Gilead and Terecia White and husband, Ronnie of Troy; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
