Gurney Dean Grissom

Gurney Dean Grissom, 61, of Albemarle, surrounded by his loving family, passed away Friday morning, July 7, 2017, at his home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, July 10, 2017, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood, NC.   Roy Dean Little will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.

Mr. Grissom was born on September 21, 1955, to the late Willie and Sarah Gibson Grissom.  He was a retired brick mason and loved to fish.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Grissom of the home; one daughter, Sarah Ashley Grissom of Richfield, two stepsons, Tim Ragan (Michelle) of Huntersville, and Scott Dennis of Albemarle; three grandchildren; one brother, Junior Grissom (Kathy) of Aquadale; two sisters, Kathy Hinson (Roger) of Norwood, and Brenda Hopkins of Albemarle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
