Genoel Bost Blalock

Genoel Bost Blalock 86 of Norwood died Monday Evening, March 19, 2018 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Rev. David Hatley will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday Evening at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.

Mrs. Blalock was born October 25, 1931 in Stanly County to the late Prince and Vetress Frick Bost. She was a retiree of the Stanly County Schools and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Blalock, brothers, William and Hoy Bost and sisters, Carrie Gallimore and Peggy Hedrick.

She is survived by her son, Billy Blalock of Norwood and her daughter, Priscilla Wallace of Monroe. Five brothers, Herman and Harry Bost both of Badin, Newman Bost of Ohio, John and Loy Bost both of Aquadale. One sister, Hazel Dorsey of Mt. Gilead. Five grandchildren, Tiffany Blalock, Alisca Schrum, Sarah Blalock, Benjie and Zach Wallace. Four great-grandchildren, Michael Wallace, Johnathan Schrum, Austin and Jessie Huneycutt.
