Gene Paul Propst

Gene Paul Propst 86 of Wadesboro died Saturday Evening, March 31, 2018 at his home.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Bethel Cemetery in Wadesboro. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Propst was born July 4, 1931 in Catawba County to the late James Adrian and Emo Hedrick Propst. He was a retired North Carolina Drivers License Examiner with 35 years of Service. Gene will be remembered for his passion for history and an avid collector of numerous items he felt should be preserved.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Michael Warren Propst and Carl Wayne Propst.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Peggy Almond Propst. His grandson, Zachary Nicholas Propst, his sister, Linda Sigmon of Claremont and his daughter-in-laws, Janet Propst and Jean Propst.
