Frank Jasper Dennis Sr.

Frank Jasper Dennis Sr. 85 of Albemarle died Wednesday evening, January 10, 2018 at CHS-Stanly.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 13, 2018 at 2:00PM at Porter Baptist Church. Dr. Kinney Wallace and Rev. Chris Wallace will officiate and burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday January 12, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.

Mr. Dennis was born June 10, 1932 in Stanly County to the late CB and Mollie Poplin Dennis. He was a 1949 graduate of Norwood High School. He was retired owner and operator of Frank Dennis Trucking for many years hauling milk, in his later years he filled swimming pools across the area. He was a faithful member of Porter Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Frank Jasper Dennis Jr. One brother, Leewood Dennis and one sister Dianne Dennis Stewart.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Wilma Mauldin Dennis of the home. One son, Rickey Dennis and wife Becky. Three daughters, Debbie Dennis Measmer and husband Jim, Linda Dennis Harkey and husband Gene and Lisa Dennis Darnell and husband Dean and a daughter-in-law Marie Hathcock Dennis all of Albemarle. Ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
