Faye (Deaton) Haithcock

Faye Deaton Haithcock, 98, of Mt. Gilead, passed away Friday morning June 22, 2018 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Hamer Creek Baptist Church.  Rev. Steven Cline will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday evening 6:00 PM to 8:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead.

Mrs. Haithcock was born October 21, 1919, to the late Andrew Parham Deaton and Bessie Caroline Cranford Deaton.  She was a member of Hamer Creek Baptist Church.   She was a loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed traveling, reading, and gardening.  She was loved by many.  She was a retiree of Russell Harville Hosiery.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, William Marshall Haithcock, one son, Bobby Haithcock, two grandsons, Glen and Duane,  brothers, Vernon and Brantley Deaton and sisters, Lois Robinson, Lillian Hatley, and Ina Mae Morton.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Maness of Troy, Mildred King and husband Harold of Troy, Paul Haithcock and wife Judy of Troy, and Tony Haithcock and wife Cathy of Mt. Gilead. In addition, she is survived by one brother, Bill Deaton of Mt. Gilead, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
