Evelyn Coley Steen

Evelyn Coley Steen 88 of Oakboro died Monday Morning, July 9, 2018 at the home of her son.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Rev. Lowell Brown will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Evelyn was born November 3, 1929 in Stanly County to the late Dexter William and Nezzie Burris Coley. She was a graduate of Aquadale High School and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a retiree of Preformed Line Products.

She is survived by her son Chuck Lowder and wife Darlene and granddaughter Skyler of Oakboro. One daughter Denice Deadmon of Kannapolis. One brother, Dexter Dulin Coley and wife Thelma of Norwood and one sister, Margie Efird and husband Jack of Norwood. Eight Grandchildren, Sixteen Great-Grandchildren and One Great-Great Grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her sons Kenneth Lowder and Little Willie Lowder and several infant children. Brothers and Sisters, William Henry, James Ikey, John B., Gene, Gary, Edyce, Gladys, and Linda.
