Clara Tyson

Clara Crump Tyson 99 of Norwood died Wednesday Evening, August 14, 2019 at Trinity Place .

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2019 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Mary Hatley will officiate and interment will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tyson was born January 29, 1920 in Stanly County to the late William Branch and Bertha Hathcock Crump. She was a retiree of Tuscarora Yarns and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Zeb Paul Tyson, her son, Max Elliott Tyson, her daughter Patsy Tyson Hatley, four brothers, W.B. Crump Jr., Tom Crump, Reece Crump and Emmett Crump, four sister, Cassie Blalock, Mattie Aldridge, Sarah Lowder and Lucille Tyson.

She is survived by her son Timothy Dale Tyson of Anchorage, Alaska. Four grandchildren, Elliott Hatley, Dale Tyson(Sarah), Kurt Tyson(Hailey), and Amy Tyson. Four great-grandchildren, Lawson Dale Tyson, Cohen Tyson, Kinsley Tyson and Landon Allen.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
