Betty (McKinnon) Dangler

Betty McKinnon Dangler, 90 of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at her son’s home in Mount Gilead.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, August 11, 2017 at Wadeville Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Joe Smith will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Thursday evening, August 10, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home in Mount Gilead.

Mrs. Dangler was born October 16, 1926 in Montgomery County to the late Jim and Emma Morton McKinnon.  She was a graduate of Mount Gilead High School, Bryce Commercial College in High Point and attended Charlotte College (now UNC-C).  She retired from Bankers Life of Des Moines, Iowa (now Principle Life); Group Insurance & Retirement plans division, Charlotte, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Harold, Lyman and Thad McKinnon.

She is survived by her son, James H. Dangler and grandson, James Harold Dangler, Jr., and sister, Glenda McKinnon Hinson.
