James Robert Moore 82 of Norwood passed away peacefully Wednesday Evening, February 26, 2020 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ron Dry will officiate and interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park in Wadesboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Robert was born May 26, 1937 in Anson County to the late James Preston and Alma Lee Baker Moore. He was a 1955 graduate of Polkton High School and a retired truck driver. He served in the National Guard, 263 Communication Squadron and was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Glenda Turner Moore of the home. Brothers and Sister-in-laws, Betty Carpenter of Norwood, Harold Turner of Kinston, Peggy Beachum and Mike Turner both of Ansonville.
In addition he is survived by several of his and Glenda’s nieces and nephews including his nephew Joe T. Moore II (Gwen) of New London.
He was preceded in death by his brother Joe T. Moore.
Memorials may be made to the Charity of the donor’s choice.
