Robert Max Gurley

Robert Max Gurley, 54 of Albemarle, passed away, Sunday, October 18, 2020.

A visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, Monday, October 26, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home in Mount Gilead. Graveside services will follow at 3:00pm at  Sunset Memorial Gardens in Mint Hill, NC.

Mr. Gurley was born September 14, 1966 in Mecklenburg County to the late Robert George and Martha Stancil Gurley.  He was last employed with Almond & Barringer Construction.  Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting and carpentry.

He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Nicole Gurley of Asheboro; sons, Bobby Gurley of Canada and Hunter Gurley of Albemarle; sisters, Christine Stancil and Eloise Hathcock (Shorty) of Mount Gilead and brother, Ben Gurley of Mount Gilead; nieces, Peggy Treece and husband, Matthew of Albemarle and Betty Locklear of Laurinburg; nephews, Justin Hathcock and Willie Stancil of Mount Gilead; great nieces, Madison & Olivia Treece of Albemarle; three grandchildren.
