Angela Sourwine

Angela Coats Sourwine 40 of Norwood passed away peacefully Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Funeral Services will be held at 5:00PM on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chuck Marbry will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Angela was born July 20, 1979 in Mecklenburg County to Michael Ray and Linda Boyette Coats of Wingate. She was a 1997 graduate of Piedmont High School in Union County. She was active in the ombudsman program for the United States Military, working as a liaison for Spousal support for military personnel. She was a proud band parent of the South Stanly High School Band, supporting her daughter and other band student in band competitions, fund raising and nurturing.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband David Daniel Sourwine of the home. One daughter Abigail Lauren Sourwine of the home. Two sisters, Kimberly Porter (Chuck) of Marshville and Michelle Coats of Wingate. Grandparents, Sam and Cozette Coats of Cliffside, NC. She was the proud aunt of Sarah, Riley, Ella and Tristian. Also surviving are her aunts and uncles, Judy and Pat Stewart, Jan Lorah, Dawn and Garland Jones, Sandy and Carson Sublette and Jason Jenkins
