Emma Hutchinson

Emma Thompson Hutchinson, 88, of Norwood, passed away on Wednesday morning, March 13, 2024 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, March 15, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Emma was born November 20, 1935 to the late Grover Laster Thompson and Ann Roberts Ingold Thompson. She was a member of South Stanly Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hutchinson, daughter Linda Hutchinson Little, son in law Freddy Little, and her siblings: Jay V. Thompson, Worth Thompson, Shirley Joe Thompson, Roy Thompson, Maxine Byrd, and Dorothy Byrd.

She is survived by her daughter Amanda Hutchinson Little (Doyle), grandchildren: Laura Little Harrington (Shane), Trip Little, and Caselyn Little (Hunter Boyd), great-grandchild Kaylyn Harrington, brother Larry Thompson, and sister Joyce Miller.
