Mrs. Gregory was born August 24, 1943 in Stanly County.  She was a daughter of the late William Wade and Thyra Harley Herlocker.  She was a member of Hamer  Creek Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Alfred Gregory. 

She is survived by her four sons, William "Billy" and wife Paula Gregory,  Donald and wife Tammy Gregory, Stacy and wife Tabitha Gregory all of Mount Gilead and Chris and wife Lora Gregory of Norwood. One brother, Larry Herlocker of Badin.  Eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
