Mrs. Ross was born October 25, 1922 in Montgomery County.  She was the daughter of the late Franklin Pierce and Mattie Warner Tedder.  She was a retiree of United Mills and a member of First Baptist Church, Mount Gilead. 

Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by her husband, David Martin Ross, Sr., and brother, Franklin Tedder and sister, Doris Crump. 

She is survived by her son, David Ross, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Fayetteville.  One daughter, Iris Ross Hethcoat of Durham.  Four brothers, John Tedder of Mount Gilead, Jake Tedder of Winston-Salem, Walter Tedder and Albert Tedder of Charlotte.  Grandchildren, Tonya Ross, Rachel Ross and Alan Ross Hethcoat.  Great-grandchildren, Hayden and Jessica Hasson and Taylor O'Brien.
