Mr. Springer was born December 6, 1940 in Stanly County. He was a son of the late Daniel Robert and Vernie Randall Springer and was a retiree of Hydro Labs.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Geneva Whitley Springer of the home. One sister, Deanie Whitley of New London, and two brothers, Jerry Robert Springer of Nevada and Gene Springer of Norwood.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Lee Springer
