Mrs. Lassiter was born July 2, 1941 in Moore County, She was a daughter of the late Harvey and Novia Brown Freeman. She was a Textile retiree and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Troy.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Pearl Lamar Kearns and Allen Morris Lassiter.

She is survived by her son Philip Kearns of Mt. Gilead, one sister, Janice Freeman Reynolds of Biscoe, two brothers, Clinton Martin Freeman of Biscoe and Roy Harvey Freeman of Albemarle. 3 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
