Paulette was born July 23, 1953 in Stanly County.  She was the daughter of Paul and Phyllis Kluttz Barrier of Albemarle.  She was employed by Bullock Professional Color in Albemarle and a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband Bobby L. Preslar of the home. One daughter, Kristi Preslar Shelton and fiancée Jared Hedrick of Norwood. One son, Josh Preslar and wife Angela of Albemarle. Two sisters, Donna Russell and husband Rodney of Albemarle and Lynn Secreast and husband Vance of Hudson.  Two Grandchildren, Jacey and Bennett Shelton of Norwood.
