Mr. Tyson was born September 15, 1928 in Fisk, Missouri.  He was a son of the late David Lester and Clara Rita Richmond Tyson.  He was a retiree of the US Air force and a retiree of American Electric Power Company.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Gilead.

He is survived by his wife Tokiko "Jeanie" Masuko Tyson of the home.  Three sons, Herbert Wayne Tyson of Buckhannon, WV, Charles Ray Tyson of Mt. Gilead, and David Duane Tyson of Wheeling, WV. Three Daughters, Rose Anne Tiani of Southport, NC, Delores Gina Tyson-Geesaman of Waynesboro, PA, and Lory Tyson Jenkins of Mt. Gilead.  One half brother, Ernest Forbes of Boise, Idaho, Three sisters, Wanda Lee Tennison of St. Louis, Mo, Virginia Hamlett of Brackford, Ill, and Lucille Headley of Phonix, AZ. Seven Grandchildren and Six Great-Grandchildren.
