William "Buzzy" Carpenter

William Crawford “Buzzy” Carpenter 63 of Norwood died Friday Morning, April 13, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 16, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Frank Thompson will officiate and interment with full military honors will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory.

Mr. Carpenter was born February 22, 1955 in Stanly County to the late Thomas and Helen Honeycutt Carpenter. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retiree of Gerald Clontz Trucking.

He is survived by his daughters, Melisa Eudy (Terry) of Badin, Terri Locklear (Chris) of Norwood and Lori Carpenter of Ohio. His son Derrick Carpenter of the home. Four Grandchildren, Billy and Samantha Hill and Abby and Carly Locklear.  Brothers, Allen Blake (Debbie) of Ansonville and Ed Honeycutt of Norwood,  Nephew, Adam Carpenter (Denise)of Fayetteville and friend Greg Brown of Norwood.

He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Burris Carpenter, his brother, Tommy Richard Carpenter and his sister, Helen Marie Austin.

When not at the funeral home the family will gather at the home of Chris and Terri Locklear.
