Perry Duke

Perry Dean Duke 64 of Albemarle died Friday Evening, April 21, 2017 at his home.

Memorial Services will be private.

Perry was born March 26, 1953 in Stanly County. He was the son of the late Haywood “Son” Duke and Jeanette Mesimer Duke who survives of Norwood. Perry was a 1971 Graduate of South Stanly High School. He Attended Pfeiffer University and was a Graduate of Appalachian University. He was a retired school teacher and coach, having taught at Badin, Park Ridge, Aquadale and spending most of his career at South Stanly High School. He was a member of Vortex Church and will be remembered as an avid “Duke Fan”.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Sheila Hinton Duke of the Home. Two sons, Jesse Duke and wife Leanna of Raleigh and Jacob Duke and wife Alyssa of Greensboro. Also surviving are his beloved Grand dogs Bailey and Deizel.
