Patrick Alney Parks

Patrick Alney Parks 48 of Mt. Gilead died Sunday Morning April 2, 2017 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill following a tragic accident at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Hamer Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Wilson, Rev. Steven Cline and Rev. Bill Roy will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Patrick was born October 29, 1968 in Montgomery County. He was a son of Jerry and Phyllis Jo Harris Parks. He was Parts Manager of Napa Auto Parts of Troy.

Patrick loved flying and followed his dream by building his own airplane and landing strip at his home.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Sue Dunn Parks of the home. His brother, Todd Parks of Mt. Gilead and his best friend, Doug Harris of Troy. One Step-Daughter Anrae Shaw of Mt. Gilead and one Step-Son, David Haywood of Star. Three Step-Grandchildren, Ryan Nicholas Shaw, Collin Smith Shaw and Raelyne Grace King.
