Leonard Ray Britt

Leonard Ray Britt 57 of Mt. Gilead died Monday Morning, September 25, 2017 at Moore Regional Medical Center in Pinehurst.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:30PM Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Pastor Dave Wensil will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 Wednesday afternoon at the church.

Leonard was born July 27, 1960 in Montgomery County to the late Billy Oscar Britt and Betty Lou Thompson. Following Billy’s death Betty married Phillip Thompson, who became a loving father to Leonard and his older brother Michael, and later to their sister Donna.

Leonard was a true outdoorsman, enjoying forestry, hunting and fishing. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the 82nd Airborne and was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his father he is survived by his daughters, Lauren and Landis Britt and their mother Lisa Britt all of Mt. Gilead. One brother, Michael Britt of Peachtree City, Georgia and one sister, Donna Thompson Cranford of Laurens, South Carolina.
