Joanne was born on May 14, 1950 in Monroe, North Carolina to the late Earl and Velma Phifer of Stanfield, North Carolina. Joanne’s brother, Henry Phifer, also preceded her in death. She loved music, and shared her talents by playing fulltime and part-time in various churches throughout her life. She loved living on the lake and vacations on the beach, but certainly not quite as much as she loved her dog, Abby.
