George Thomas Boone

George Thomas Boone, 58, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday evening February 22, 2018.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 27, 2018 at 11:00AM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood and burial will follow at Fairview Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM.

Mr. Boone was born on November 8, 1959 in Richmond County to the late Henry Howard and Louise Taylor Boone. He was a handy man and worked for many years at Wiscasset Mills. George loved the Lord. He enjoyed singing gospel music, praising the Lord, and going to auctions in his spare time.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Pat Boone and David ‘Bill’ Taylor; and his nephew Steven Surratt.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Jo Lundy Boone of the home; 4 children: Tina (Terry) Talbert, Christine (Bo) Page, Paul (Buffie) Lundy, and Kevin Lundy; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; and his sister Bobbie Jean Deese
