Frances Pickler Rummage

Frances Lee Pickler Rummage, 88, of Albemarle passed away early Wednesday afternoon, May 17, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood.  Rev. Chuck Hensley will officiate and interment will follow in Bethesda Cemetery, Albemarle.  The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Friday evening, May 19, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.

Mrs. Rummage was born April 9, 1929 in Stanly County to the late Houston Tillman Pickler and Mary Lee Mauldin Pickler.  She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and was last employed by American Efird.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Felix Rummage, who died in the Vietnam War; sisters, Ramelle Frick and Betty Sue Thompson and brother, Howard W. Pickler.

She is survived by her husband, James Richard “Jim” Rummage of the home; daughter, Jean Hedrick(James) of Albemarle; brother, Carol Pickler of Albemarle and sister, Jewell Chagaris of New London; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
