Elizabeth (Lambert) DeBerry

Elizabeth Lambert DeBerry, 94, of Mount Gilead passed away Thursday morning, June 29, 2017 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Wadeville Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30pm until 2:30pm, at Edwards Funeral Home in Mount Gilead.

Mrs. DeBerry was born October 2, 1922 in Stanly County to the late, Flave and Daisy Nance Lambert.  She was a retired textile employee and café operator.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, C. B. DeBerry and Alton Currie and son, Lannie Wayne Currie.

She is survived by her son, Danny Currie and wife, Ann of Mount Gilead; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
