Donald Douglas Hoyle

Donald Douglas Hoyle, 74, of Aquadale died Tuesday morning, January 16, 2018 at his home with his family.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday January 19, 2018 at 1:00PM in the Mausoleum at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte. The family will receive friends on Thursday January 18 at from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.

Douglas was born on April 15, 1943 to the late David William Hoyle Sr. and Margaret Harrison Hoyle of Charlotte NC. Douglas was a loving husband and devoted father who worked tirelessly at all things to do and be best at. His dedication and wisdom will be missed and of his time upon earth, it can be said, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.’

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley T. Hoyle and grandson Christopher J. McNamara.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter Dianne C. McNamara (Charlie); son Stephen D. Hoyle (Sherri); sister Anne H. Mize; brothers David W. Hoyle Jr. (Jane), and Walter E. Hoyle (Dawn); grandson Corey D. McNamara; granddaughter Elliana F. Hoyle; Aunt Ruth Short, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharries 960 N First Street Albemarle NC 28001
