Donald Eugene Frashuer, Jr.

Donald Eugene Frashuer, Jr., 64 of Norwood passed away Wednesday afternoon September 13, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday afternoon, September 16, 2017 at Green Memorial United Methodist Church.  Rev. Ron Dry  and Rev. Bill Frashuer will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Frashuer was born May 29, 1953 in Richwood, West Virginia to the late Donald Eugene Frashuer, Sr. and Thelma Meadows Frashuer.  He was a retired bridge inspector with the N C Department of Transportation.  He was a member of Green Memorial United Methodist Church.

Donald loved baseball and softball and spent many years umpiring.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, trips to the beach and watching his team, the Cleveland Indians.  His greatest joy came from playing board games with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Frashuer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Jean Frashuer of the home; sons, Joey Frashuer (Jenn) of Norwood, Jason Frashuer of Norwood and Adam Frashuer (Amanda) of Locust; grandchildren, John, Jack, Hunter, Kylie, Rien and Finley; Sky, his beloved sleeping buddy;  brothers, Bill Frashuer(Sharon) of Colorado, Mike Frashuer(Donna) and Steve Frashuer  both of Ohio  and numerous cousins.

Memorials may be made to:  Green Memorial United Methodist Youth Group, c/o Fran Scarboro, 10867 Southern Road, Norwood, NC 28128 and/or a local Parkinson’s Foundation.

The family will gather at the home of Joey and Jenn Frashuer.
