Donald Laster Byrd

Donald Laster Byrd, 57, of Norwood, passed away Friday January 5, 2018.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 7, 2018 at 2:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Chuck Hensley will officiate and burial will follow at Norview Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Donald was born on June 18, 1960 in Stanly County to the late William Brooks and Julia Thompson Byrd.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Cassandra Morton Byrd, sister Judy Ingold and brother William Lee Byrd.

He is survived by two sons, Brandon and Shane Byrd; sisters: Mary Ann Whitley (Jimmie) of New London and Barbara Sikes (Joe) of Ansonville; and one brother, Robert Byrd (Patty) of Norwood.
