Carrie Harris Bearden

Carrie Elvene Harris Bearden, 80, passed away Friday January 5, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 9 at 12:00PM at Norwood Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Tom Rodriguez will officiate and burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.

Ms. Bearden was born on July 14, 1937 in Stanly County to the late A.B. Sr. and Mary Ann Hinson Harris. She worked for many years at Lockstitch in Norwood and was a lifelong member at Norwood Church of the Nazarene. Elvene loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them, especially playing video games.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Bearden Sr.; one son Buddy Bearden; nine brothers and sisters; and one great-grandson.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy DeBord (Jake) of Dallas Texas; son Sidney Bearden Sr. (Faye Carper) of Albemarle; seven grandchildren: Suzanne, Jake Jr., Pebbles, Sidney Jr., Crystal, Shannon, and Adam; and 16 great-grandchildren.
