Bennett "Chuck" Covington Hildreth

Bennett Covington “Chuck” Hildreth, 83, of Ansonville, passed away Wednesday morning, February 8, 2017 at CMC in Charlotte.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday February 12, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood.  Rev. Rodney Clements will officiate and interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ansonville.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.

Mr. Hildreth was born February 7, 1934 in Anson County to the late Joseph Leroy and Lola Hopkins Hildreth.  He was a 1952 graduate of Ansonville High School and proudly served his country in the US Air Force, following service he graduated from Wingate College.  Chuck was Owner and Operator of Hildreth Tire.  He was a member of Ansonville Baptist Church. 

Chuck enjoyed music and the friendship he had with his fellow musicians.  In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing and fishing.  His greatest joy in life was his family.  He loved his girls and grandchildren.  The memory of a loving father and grandfather will live on through the lives of his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Velma Edwards, Marion Ingold and Margretta Ratliff, brothers, Bill, Bob and Richard Hildreth.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lupe Juarez Hildreth of the home; daughters, Yvonne Randall and husband, Kerry and Allison Martin and husband, Ben all of Wadesboro; two grandsons, Matthew Randall and wife, Tiffany and Eli Randall and wife, Jordan; four great-grandchildren, Evan, Caleb, Eason & Madelyn Randall.
