Arthur Junior Ferrell

Arthur Junior “Puny” Ferrell 84 of Norwood died Sunday Afternoon, March 11, 2018 at Brian Center in Salisbury.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Mark Forrest will officiate and interment will follow at 3:30 in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Huntersville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Ferrell was born December 9, 1933 in Huntersville to the late Arthur Reason and Maude Eva Ferrell. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He retired with 41 years of service with the Charlotte Transit System.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years Miriam Plowman Ferrell of the home. Daughters, Karen Ferrell of Girard, Ohio and Verna Ferrell of Charlotte. Sons, Michael Ferrell (Kimberly) of Groveport, Ohio and Jonathan Ferrell of Charlotte. Brother, Bobby Eugene Ferrell of Charlotte. Stepdaughters, Angela C. Forrest (Mark) of Norwood and Lisa C. Alexander of West Palm Beach, Florida. Stepsons, James Damon Cotton of Charlotte, Terry Creamer of Green Bay , Wisconsin and Mark Creamer of Charlotte. 8 Step-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Herman Monroe Ferrell and sister, Emma Juanita Ferrell Gibson.
