Nick Andrews was my cousin and we grew up together in Mt. Gilead, NC. Nick was one of the most remarkable and inspiring people it has been my privilege to know; whip-smart, passionately creative and blessed with a wickedly sharp sense of humor. He faced life's challenges head-on with grace, determination and courage and he enriched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be missed.

I was so sad to hear about Nick's passing. He was a childhood friend and an inspiration to me and others who knew him. He faced so many obstacles and challenges yet met each one with zeal and determination. I can remember the standing ovation he received when he was presented his high school diploma at West Montgomery. We'll miss you Nick. My thoughts and prayers go out to his sister and his friends. Mt. Gilead has lost two wonderful people this week.
